AVR SPS-43 is solid state electronic device designed to develop & regulate voltage of brush less alternators It constantly monitors alternator voltage, frequency and exciting voltage to maintain constant voltage as per load variations.Additionally SPS-43 AVR has facility for synchronizing more than one alternators through quadrature droop method. A remote potentiometer can be connected in series with sensing phase terminal marked as “ R “ to adjust alternator voltage. SPS-43 can be connected to 2 phase (415V) sensing and 1 Phase (220) sensing enabling to work for three phase & single phase alternators These AVR is compatible with any type of alternator if used within its specified output power limits. Uniquely a relay less circuit of AVR requires only 5 V AC to build up voltage. It can be connected to isolated auxiliary input from 160 to 245 V and sensing input of 220V or 415 V. AVR parameters can be adjusted precisely through 25 turns potentiometers. It has built in protections like, Under frequency roll off (UFRO) with LED indicator to protect winding burn out due to low frequency, stability setting to set load response time, over excitation voltage time delay trip with LED indicator, fuse protection and droop potentiometer.
